Soller: La Fira and El Firó

450 anniversary of the events of El Firó.

Sóller is celebrating these days the "Festes i Fires 2011." The programme includes numerous cultural and sporting events, particularly "Sa Fira" and "Es Firó".

"Sa Fira" will take place on Sunday, May 8, with the market by local artisans and many other activities that can be found in the programme published by the Town Council.

"Es Firó", that will be held on Monday 9, is the culmination of the festivities and commemorates Sóller's victory over Moorish invaders on May 11th, 1561.
