The
Palma
Council has programmed for the Easter school holidays two children's
plays at the Teatre Municipal.
The company, Rondaines, will present "N'Espardenyeta i sa bruixa de
sa Mola", a production that is based on a selection from two traditional
Majorcan 'rondalles' (fable-tales), with the view to stressing the humorous
parts via clown techniques. The performances will take place from
April 11 to 22, from Thursday to Sunday, and on Monday 16, at 12 noon.
The second show at the Teatre Municipal is "Hansel and Gretel" by the
Centre Dramàtic Di Marco, that will present it from April 12 to
16 at 7 p.m. directed by Leona Di Marco. The play is based on the popular
tale by the Brothers Grimm, and approaches us to the German morals of the
beginnings of the XIX century. But in this version, the rigid text by the
Brothers Grimm is transformed into a world of fantasy, suspense and humour
with music.
