The Barranc de Biniaraix

The Serra de Tramuntana hides unimaginably beautiful treasures, such as the Barranc de Biniaraix, situated in the mountains of Soller, at the foot of Puig de l'Ofre.

Antoni Font, well known ecologist of the GOB, member of the International Committee of Greenpeace and owner of one of the small properties of the Barranc, has created a web where he describes the scenic and environmental values of the area, such as the mountain, water, flora and fauna; the human activity that is carried out there, and the problems that affect the area caused by the activities by man and via natural processes, such as torrential rain, the advance of pine trees down the slopes with dry stone walls and forest fires.
