Exhibition dedicated to the writer Josep Pla

Exhibition dedicated to the writer Josep Pla
The Cultural Centre of the "la Caixa" Foundation in the Balearics, in the Plaça Weyler in Palma, is holding the exhibition Josep Pla: "sóc un illòman", that can be visited until May 12, 2002.

The exhibition, organised by the Fundació Josep Pla with the support form the "la Caixa" Foundation, presents a collection of texts, manuscripts, photographs and audiovisuals relating the Catalan author Josep Pla (1897 - 1981) and the books that he wrote about the Balearic Islands and the Pitiüses.

The title of the exhibition is inspired in the prologue of his book "Les illes" (Edicions Destino, 1970), dedicated not only to Mallorca, Menorca, Eivissa, Formetnera and Cabrera, but also to other islands of the Occidental and Central Mediterranean, and the Hellenic archipelago.
