Cycle of Music of the World

Cycle of Music of the World
This year the cycle includes a series of Ethnographic Cinema

A concert by the Kurdish singer composer Sivan Perwer will start next Friday, October 10, the Ciclo Músicas del Mundo that is held like every year in the old building of the Gran Hotel in the plaza Weyler in Palma. A total of six performances make up the new proposal from the Music Service of the Caixa Foundation.  Within the same month of October there will be two more performances: Rokia Traoré (Mali), on Tuesday 21, and Bonga (Angola), on Saturday 24.  The other three concerts have been programmed for November.  The Polish trio Kroke will perform on Friday 7, the Armenian musician Djivan Gasparyan on Friday 14, and the cycle will end with the concert by the counter tenor Emil Zrihan, with music influenced by Morocco and Israel, on Friday 26. All the performances begin at 8 p.m.  The tickets cost 3 euros and can be acquired up to three hours before each concert via the ServiCaixa, or as from two hours before at the Fundación "la Caixa".

As a novelty, this year a Cycle of Ethnographic Cinema has been programed, with a free entry and prior inscription. The cycle includes four films that will be shown at 7 p.m. on October 15 and 18, and November 12 and 27.
