International Oral Improvisation Show
From March 7 to 12 in Manacor, Capdepera, Alcúdia and Campos.
The "VIII Mostra Internacional d'Improvisadors" (6th International Oral Improvisation Show), organised by the Associació Cultural Canonge de Santa Cirga and coordinated by Felip Munar i Munar, will take place at the Teatre Municipal de Manacor (March 7, 10 and 11), at the Teatre de Capdepera (March 8), at the Auditori d'Alcúdia (March 9) and at the Teatre Escènic de Campos (March 12).
This new edition of the Show will have the participation of 43 performers including "glosadors" from Mallorca, Menorca, Eivissa and Formentera, "payadores" from Argentina, "poeti" from Corsica and other improvisation specialists form Italy and Madeira (Portugal).
Coinciding with the gathering, on March 11 in Manacor, the Associació Cultural Canonge de Santa Cirga will give the "Ploma d'Or del Canonge 2006" award to Joan Escandell (Formentera), Xisco Bufí (Eivissa), Associació Soca de Mots (Menorca) and Jaume Juan (Algaida) in recognition of their work in the area of traditional oral improvisation.
