Pottery Fair in Marratxí

From March 3 to 12 in Ses Tres Germanes facilities.

The traditional "Fira del Fang de Marratxí", that reaches this year the 22nd edition, will take place from March 3 to 12 in the Ses Tres Germanes facilities. The fair will include a wide sample of pots, jugs, plates and all kinds of objects made from clay. These have been made for many years by the small family workshops of the municipality, in the area of Sa Cabaneta and above all, in Pòrtol.

The production of pots, helped by the abundance of red clay in the surroundings, has converted "the clay industry" into the most characteristic element of Marratxí and therefore the prestige of the traditional Pottery Fair, organised by the Marratxí Town Council and sponsored by the Balearic Government and Sa Nostra.

The programme of the fair includes demonstrations, workshops, exhibitions, conferences, competitions, music, dancing...
