Special Olympics Swimming Championship

From March 23 to 26 in the Son Hugo swimming pools in Palma.

The IX Special Olympics National Swimming Championship will be held from March 23 to 26, in the Son Hugo swimming pools in Palma. The event will have the participation of 264 sports people from 15 Spanish Autonomous Communities, Andorra and 13 centres and clubs from the Balearic Islands.

The programme of activities will being on Thursday, March 23, at 6.30 p.m., with the torch relay from the the Moll Vell to the Consolat de Mar, headquarters of the Balearic Government. The opening ceremony will take place on Friday, March 24, at 8p.m. in the Gran Casino de Mallorca and will feature a performance by David Civera. Finally, on Sunday, March 26, at 1p.m, the closing ceremony will take place in the Son Hugo swimming pools.

The organisers of this ninth edition of the championship are Special Olympics España, FEAPS Balears and the Sports Association of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities of Mallorca (AEDIM).
