JazzIn'Mallorca

Web site dedicated to the promotion of jazz in Mallorca.

It will soon be the first anniversary of the opening of JazzIn'Mallorca, a non-profit-making project by Miquel Àngel Daniel, Miquel Munar and Guillermo de la Fuente. The web site, dedicated to the promotion of jazz in Mallorca, was presented just 20 years after the concert by Miles Davis within the "Festival Internacional de Jazz a Palma". This famous festival initially promoted by Miquel Jaume from Trui Espectacles, was held from 1981 to 1990. Unfortunately, as JazzIn'Mallorca explains:

"The lack of institutional support caused the disappearance of a festival that would now be, for sure, an internationally recognised festival."

Nowadays several initiatives as "Sa Congregació" with the "Festival de Jazz de Sa Pobla", or more recently the "Jazz Voyeur", have revived the interest in jazz and JazzIn'Mallorca wants to strengthen this situation vindicating and promoting the quality of the existing offer.
