Miquel Barceló's most unknown work.

The Fundació Pilar i Joan Miró a Mallorca will house until September 27 the exhibition ición "Barceló before Barceló, 1973-1982". The show presents a selection of Miquel Barceló's early and most unknown work, a production dating from the period between 1973 and the year of his final launch on the international art scene, when he took part in the 1982 Kassel Documenta.

The primary aim of this exhibit is to bring to light a group of over one hundred works, many unpublished, which present some of the artist’s most significant and lasting traits. Many of these works form part of Barceló’s personal collection, while others belong to different public and private institutions in Spain and France, also from private collections.

The exhibition is divided into six sections: Bestiary, Vanitas, Experimental poetry, Books, Portraits and self-portraits, and Landscape elements..
