Jazz Voyeur Festival 2009
Concerts, cinema and gastronomy in Palma.
The sixth edition of the Jazz Voyeur Festival will start on September 11, Friday, in the Conservatori de Palma, with the opening concert by Brazilian pianist and singer Eliane Elias. This edition includes six concerts, master classes, films in the "Sa Nostra" Cultural Centre and a surprising combination of gastronomy, painting and music in the restaurant Pepe Pintos.
The Festival program will continue on September 26 with the "Nit de Jazz de Catalunya & Mallorca" featuring performances by drummer Marc Ayza and Big Yuyu & The Hot Nite Band. On November 6 will be the turn of the Japanese contemporary jazz pianist Hiromi Uehara. On 7 November singer and pianist Diane Schuur will perform. On November 12 vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and composer Richard Bona, from Cameroon, will go up on stage. On November 13 the group led by trumpeter Terence Blanchard from New Orleans will perform. And finally, on December 9, the Festival will conclude with a concert by The Georgia Mass Choir.
All concerts will be held in the Conservatory of Palma, except the last, to be held in the Auditorium of Palma.
