The Beata procession has been held in Santa Margalida since 1792, the date when the nun Catalina Tomās (Valldemossa 1531 - Palma 1574) was beatified by Pope Pious VI.

Is the most awaited event of the Fiestas for la Beata and is held every first Sunday in September, at 9 p.m.

The procession is presided by the Beata, accompanied by the authorities and several groups of xeremiers, a multitude of peasants, music bands and 12 floats remembering the Beata's life.

Myrtle, torches and the singing of the traditional Sor Tomasseta chants bring the traditional touch to the festivity. But the most outstanding part are the battles between the devils and the peasants, when the devils try to grab the jars form the peasants and crash them against the floor in front of the Beata.

The procession ends with the last crash of jars in the Church Square.
