Algaida is preparing to celebrate the "Fira de Tardor 2001" that will
take place next Saturday, October 13. The programme will start on Thursday,
at 9.30 h, at the Casal Pere Capellà auditory, with the debate on
hunting, organised to celebrate the 25 anniversary of the Societat de Caçadors
d'Algaida. On Friday the traditional "Concert de Tardor de l'Orfeó
Castellitx" will take place at 6 p.m. at the Algaida church, and at 9 p.m.
the film "Imatges d'Algaida 2000-2001" by
Titoieta
Ràdio will be presented. The same Friday, two exhibitions will
open –"Lligats amb Nueva Segovia" and "Els fruits en el temps"– and the
pipe smokers meeting "III Fumada lenta en pipa" will take place.
The fair, on Saturday, will include all kind of agricultural, industrial
and artisan products; a varied exhibition of animals and carts; as well
as an exhibition of oil lamps, lights and irons, that can be visited at
the Casal Pere Capellà. Opposite the Casal, there will be the "Fireta
Alternativa", with information on humanity, cultural and conservative initiatives
and products for a responsible consume.
At 5.30 p.m. there will be a children party with
Spaghetti,
and at 7.30 p.m. there will be the presentation of the book "Jaume Salvà
i Munar i el mallorquinisme científic" by Joan March Noguera. The
festive day will finish with popular dance and music by Tramundança.
