On Saturday, November 10, at noon, the "la Caixa" Foundation in Palma
will hold the first of the Family Concerts programmed for the autumn season,
by the group led by Eliseo Parra, that will interpret pieces of the peasant
musical inheritance from Castilla, Extremadura, Valencia, the Canaries
and the Balearics.
The cycle will continue until November 24, at noon, with "Bufa! Descobreix
els instruments de vent-fusta", concert dedicated to the air-wood instruments.
The following concert, on December 1st, at half past noon, it will be dedicated
to an ancestral tradition: the guttural singings from Mongolia. The programme
will end on Saturday December 15, at 12:00 h, with the Christmas Familiar
Concert, that will be held at the Basilica de Sant Francesc, by the Orquestra
de Cambra Illa de Mallorca and Cor Studium, that will interpret fragments
of the Messiahs from George Frideric Handel, conducted by Barry Sargent.
Recommended ages: from 4 to 12.
Tickets: 333 pts. (2 €).
Tickets can be acquired up to three hours before each concert via the
ServiCaixa, or as from two hours before at the Foundation.
