II Certamen of fiction short films

The General Direction for Linguistic Policy of the Department of Education and Culture of the Balearic Government announces the "II Certamen de curtmetratges de ficció", original version in Catalan. The works can be carried out in any film or video format, but must be presented to the competition in Betacam video. The works in the original version should be in Catalan, lasting 30 minutes or less.

The Contest, which will take place in March 13, 14 and 15, 2002 at the Auditorium of the "Sa Nostra" Cultural Centre in Palma, has a first prize worth 500,000 ptas and second prize of 250,000 ptas. Later the selected films will be presented in Eivissa city, Felanitx and Manacor; there will be screenings on local televisions; and one copy of each film will be kept at the Arxiu del So i de la Imatge de Mallorca.
