The second "Trobada de Músics per la Llengua" that should
have taken place in Santa Eugénia today has been suspended because
of the bad weather and the new date foreseen for the concert is next Saturday,
November 17.
The day will have the participation of 65 groups and soloists from the
Balearics, all committed to the Catalan language. Consolidated artists
such as Tomeu Penya,
Ocults,
Fora
des Sembrat, Joan Bibiloni,
Maria
del Mar Bonet,
Música
Nostra,
Herbes Dolces,
Nou
Romancer,
Xaloc Música,
Aires Formenterencs, Uc,
Biel
Majoral,
Cucorba,
Antonia Font and many others, will share the stage with new groups, amongst
which are
Amb una Mica de Sort,
Mal Vici,
Família
López,
Espirafoc,
Pedregats,
Syphosis,
Límit,
etc.
The "II Trobada" will incorporate within the precinct a Catalan Record
Fair, with the participation of the most important record companies
in the Catalan music panorama.
The programme of the concerts will start at 10 a.m. with children's
music, followed by a block of performances of traditional music. At 5 p.m.
the composersingers will perform and finally the rock pop groups
will start at 10 p.m. until 4 a.m.
The precinct will include a barbecue are for lunch and dinner and a
camping area to spend the night.
