Cycling: Tour of Mallorca

The Challenge Illes Balears-XIII Volta a Mallorca will once more start the European professional cycling calendar. The Mallorcan race will be held between February 1 and 5 and will have the participation of the best cyclists in the world, a total of over 300 racers and 19 teams, including the Illes Balears-Banesto.

The competition will start on Sunday, February 1 with the Trofeo Palma de Mallorca, on an urban circuit on the Passeig Marítim in Palma. The second day, Monday 2, will start and end in Port d'Alcúdia. On Tuesday 3, the king stage will be held, leaving Sóller and arriving at Port de Sóller. On Wednesday 4 the competition will go from Cala Bona to Manacor. And the last stage, on Thursday 5, will start in Magaluf and end in Palmanova, passing via five mountain passes.
