Summer Programme at the Bellver Castle

Music for the summer evenings.

Once more the patio of the Bellver Castle will be the scene this summer for numerous events programmed by the Palma Town Council. In July there have been concerts by Marina Rosell, Brad Mehldau Trio, Steve Hogarth, Banda Municipal de Palma, Chris & Carla, Hototalk and Orquestra Simfònica de Balears. There was also a light opera, "Doña Francisquita", by the Coral Municipal d'Andratx and the Orquestra Clàssica de Mallorca.

In August, there will be a new edition of the International Music Festival "Serenates d'Estiu", organised by Palma Jeunesses Musicales, with five classical music concerts that will take place on the days 28, 15, 17, 22 and 29. The other concerts programmed for August are by Mallorcan pianist Joan Martorell who will present his latest record "Capturant un Sospir" on the 12th, Diego el Cigala on the 19th and Perikas Jazz Reunion and Mini Big Band on the 25th. The August programme will also include on the 31st the show Otello, featuring parts of Giussepe Verdi's opera by singers Johan Botha, Falk Struckmann and Regina Schörg and pianist Brenda Rein.

The summer programme in the Bellver Castle will end on September 2nd with a concert by Cap Pela.
