Dijous Bo in Inca, the most important autumn fair on the Island, will
be held on November 15. As every year, a massive attendance is expected,
both by exhibitors and visitors from all over Mallorca and even from the
other islands. The programme of events includes a whole range of cultural
and sports activities, such a exhibitions, presentations of books, shows,
football, and the "VI Ral·li Dijous Bo", amongst other proposals.
The events will start on Thursday 9 and will continue until Saturday 17,
although the central part of the programme will take place on Wednesday
14 and particularly on Thursday 15.
Particularly important is the animal show, the "VI Mostra de Races Autòctones
de les Illes Balears" and the "V Fira del Mul", that will be held on Wednesday,
at 3 p.m. in the Plaça del Bestiar, followed by a tasting of roast
suckling pig (black Mallorcan pig) and Mallorcan 'Frito'; and the exhibition
of the "XXXI Ornithological Contest" that will be open until 9 p.m. in
the Calle de Artà. On the same Wednesday, at 10 a.m. the "Fair of
the Inca Shop Owners" will open in the Covered Market.
On Thursday morning, the bird contest will open again, and the autochthonous
breeds plus the Mule Fair, that will include a grand exhibition of a mule
carrying out farming tasks. There will also be the "X Concurs Morfològic
del Porc Negre Mallorquí" that will be held on the same Thursday
in the Plaça del Bestiar at 11 a.m. and the Fashion Show "III Passarel·la:
Inca, Ciutat de la Pell", that will take plce in the Municipal Sports Centre
at 6 p.m.
