Artà celebrates the Fiestas for Sant Salvador

The concert in the torrent de Na Borges will serve as one of the prelude events to the Fiestas.

Artà will hold the patron festivities for Sant Salvador between July 31 and August 7. For this reason the Town Council has prepared a full programme that includes events for every taste and age: sporting activities, street parades, contests, exhibitions, concerts, theatre... The Sant Salvador Fiestas are well known for their great participation both by people of the town and visitors.

The opening ceremony will take place on July 31 at 10 pm. in the Town Hall Square, with the dance of giants, music by the "xeremiers" of the Artà music school, the invitation by the mayor and the "coet boiet", followed by the firework run by Iguana Teatre.

Although the official callendar of the fiestas is from July 31 to August 7, this weekend there will be some activities, such as the concert in the Torrent de Na Borges by the music bands from Santa Margalida and Artà, which will take place on Sunday 27 at 8.30 p.m.
